Who we are

This policy covers the website invoicegenerate.net ("InvoiceGenerate", "we", "us"). You can contact us about privacy at hello@invoicegenerate.net.

The invoices you create

The invoice generator runs entirely in your web browser. The information you type, including names, addresses, items, prices and logos, is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers. We cannot see, access or recover your invoices.

To save your work, the site uses your browser's local storage on your device. It holds your current draft, your saved template and the list in My invoices. This data stays on your device until you delete it, through Erase everything in My invoices or by clearing your browser data.

When you create an invoice with an AI assistant, the invoice details are placed in the part of the link after the "#" sign. Browsers do not send this part to websites, so it goes directly into your browser. What you type into a third-party AI assistant is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems, and is kept only for a limited period.

The site also stores a few preferences on your device: your light or dark theme, your language choice, and whether you closed the language suggestion. These never leave your device.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages, which keeps this site free. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure performance and prevent fraud. Where you have agreed, ads may also be personalised based on your visits to this and other websites.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites.

This is done through a consent message provided by Google. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy and cookie choices" link at the bottom of every page. Ads are not shown on our guide, contact, privacy, terms or error pages.

Contact form and email

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the details you send, such as your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose. If the contact form is enabled, it is delivered by a third-party form service that processes your message for us.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

We process technical and security data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website. Advertising cookies and personalised ads are used only with your consent. Messages you send us are handled to respond to your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Residents of some US states, including California, may have similar rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Since invoice data never reaches us, these rights mostly concern emails you have sent us and advertising choices, which you can manage as described above. Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and uses security measures such as a content security policy that limits which outside services the site can load. Because your invoices stay on your device, keeping that device secure also protects your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
